The paint of a new car is easiest to protect in the first weeks, before stone chips and wash marks appear. At Premium-Auto we match the protection to the car and how it is driven: PPF where the paint gets hit by stones, a ceramic coating where easy washing and gloss matter, and often both. We work as a Gtechniq accredited studio with STEK and GSWF films, in a hall with controlled light at Balińskiego 23A in Szczecin.

Paint and body protection
Film or coating? It depends on how you drive
PPF is the only protection that actually stops stone chips and minor scuffs. That is why we suggest it for the front of any car that does a lot of motorway driving. A ceramic coating will not stop a stone, but it keeps the depth of colour, makes washing easier and protects against salt, bird droppings and UV.
The most common choice in our studio is a combination: film on the impact-prone panels, a ceramic coating over the whole car, including the film. A car protected this way washes in minutes and looks like the day it left the dealership for years.
Why surface preparation decides the result
Any protection holds as well as the paint underneath is prepared. Before applying film or coating we decontaminate: two-stage wash, clay bar, removal of iron particles and tar, and paint correction if needed. Even a brand-new car has holograms from dealer preparation that would stay under a coating for years.
We work in a hall with controlled light, because under ordinary lighting you cannot see micro-scratches or particles that can no longer be removed once sealed under a coating.
