Paint protection film (PPF)

PPF is a transparent, self-healing polyurethane layer about 200 microns thick that takes stone impacts, car park scuffs and wash scratches instead of your paint. At Premium-Auto we apply STEK and GSWF films in a hall with controlled light, with precise pre-cut patterns for the specific model and wrapped edges wherever the panel allows. We start with the Basic package on the most exposed panels and go up to Full Body, the whole car.

How the work goes

  1. 01

    Inspection and package selection

    We check the paint under the lamp and agree which panels get film. New cars are quoted remotely.

  2. 02

    Paint preparation

    Two-stage wash, clay bar, iron removal and, if needed, light correction. The film must not seal scratches underneath.

  3. 03

    Film application

    Plotter-cut patterns for the model or hand-trimming. Wet application, squeegee, wrapped edges, inspection under the lamp.

  4. 04

    Curing and handover

    The film cures in the hall and edges are pressed down. At handover we show the application and hand over care advice: first wash after about 7 days.

  • First wash after about 7 days, no brush washes
  • Hand or touchless washing, keeping the lance away from film edges
  • A ceramic coating on the film makes washing easier and prevents staining
  • Edge check after the first season

Questions about this service

With correct application the film is practically invisible. The only place you can spot it is a panel edge, which is why we wrap edges wherever the panel allows.
